Removing excessive concrete helps water flow into the ground instead of into our drainage system. Replacing concrete with permeable pavers, gravel, plants, and mulch is a great way to help reduce flooding in your neighborhood. The Urban Conservancy’s Front Yard Initiative provides technical and limited financial assistance to help residents remove paving and reduce flooding.
